Before you share your story,
let me tell you mine
I've been carrying a camera since I was 12 years old. It started with a little Kodak point and shoot that went everywhere with me. I photographed anything and everything: my friends, flowers in the backyard, random moments that caught my eye.
But a memory that really sticks out is my sister's wedding in 2010. I remember spending the entire day completely fascinated by her wedding photographer. I watched how she moved quietly through the day, fascinated by the moments she chose to capture.
After that, I became that friend. I started orchestrating wonderfully cringey photoshoots in my backyard with my friends, complete with dramatic poses and sepia filters (it was the early 2010s, after all).
My love of photography really took off from there. I started borrowing my dad's DSLR every chance I got until I finally saved up enough to buy my own camera and lens when I was 17. A year later, I photographed my first wedding.
As a teenager, I never imagined photography would become my career. I just knew I loved taking photos. Looking back now, it's pretty wild to think that spark turned into a career where I get to show up for some of the most important days in people's lives. And it truly still excites me every single time I get to be a part of these special moments.
→ You're the type to say "let's just see where the day takes us"
→ You want someone who will sprint across a field to catch the light
→ You're a little nervous but willing to trust the process
→ You want photos that actually look like you
→ You want your photographer to be as excited about your day as you are
You’ll love working with me if:
Okay, your turn.
I’ve told you my story — now I’d love to hear yours.
